Sky Harbor International Airport was experiencing problems with the epoxy signs falling over when hit by vehicles while parking. They are unable to bolt down signs into the garage floor due to parking garage safety codes.
Ideal Shield sign bases offered Sky Harbor the perfect solution. Sign bases do not need to bolted to the floor in order to be stable. When filled with water, sand or concrete sign bases will not tip over and will not move if bumped into, making them great for areas where they cannot be bolted down.
Sky Harbor uses Ideal Shield sign bases on all levels of their parking structures and no longer have an issue with them breaking.

Sky Harbor Sign Bases
A large utility company needed an alternative to delineators. Due to the power plant being located on a river and the high winds that can come off it they found the delineators they used to keep areas roped off kept blowing over.
Ideal Shield modified its sign bases by shortening the standard post length of 98″ to 45″ and included eye hooks so barrier rope could be ran through them to rope off an area. The sign bases are a great alternative because the bases can be filled with sand, water or concrete so withstand the high winds without blowing over.
Customer Challenge
Due to heavy snow fall this school district needed mobile sign bases that were higher off the ground so they could easily be pulled through several inches of snow.
Ideal Shield Solution
We put our heads together and decided that a larger 5″ wheel attached to the base would get it up higher off the ground. We also installed a 3/4″ pipe with rubber stops to front of the base to keep in level when in place.
