Protecting property can be difficult without the proper pieces of protection. Fencing and standard steel & cement bollards won’t give you that sense of total protection necessary at highly vulnerable places, including schools, storefronts, restaurants, places of worship, and public gathering areas. Instead, feel that sense of security by adding Ideal Shield’s High Impact and Crash Rated Bollards to your property.
Ideal Shield offers three different types of Crash Bollards, all of which are made of 100% U.S. steel and fabricated in Detroit, Michigan. Of the three different options, two have been approved by the Department of Defense and are listed on the Anti-Ram Vehicle Barrier List. Meet Ideal Shield’s Crash Bollards:
The C40 Traffic Impact Bollard is the perfect storefront protection bollard. Engineered and independently tested to meet the ASTM C40 P1 Standard and designed to meet the ASTM F2656 storefront requirements. One properly installed single standalone 6″ bollard is engineered and designed to stop a 5,000 lbs. vehicle at 30 mph impact with less than 24″ of vehicle penetration, which makes it equal to or greater than the S10, S20, and S30 standards.
The K4 Crash Rated Bollard is tested and certified with ASTM F2656-07 M30 P1 rating and is designed for one single standalone bollard to stop a 15,000 lb. vehicle at 30 mph within one-meter penetration. These bollards have been approved by the DoD and are listed on the Anti-Ram Vehicle Barrier List, making them an ideal piece of protection for vulnerable areas from vehicle accidents or attacks.
The K12 Crash Rated Bollard is the strongest of the trio. Fully tested and certified with ASTM F2656-07 M50 rating (K12), these steel security barriers are Department of Defense approved and listed on the Anti-Ram Vehicle Barrier List. One single standalone bollard has the ability to stop 15,000 lb. vehicle at 50 mph with 1.2-meter penetration, making it the ideal safety bollard on the market.
To save time and money on the installation, all three Crash Bollards are simple Set & Pour installs that will also make life easier for everyone. Simply set a single prefabricated steel bollard in excavation and pour in the concrete (no rebar in the foundation). Don’t worry about tying, bolting, welding, assembly, or specialty subgrade, as it is not required. The bollards are one single unit with a lifting pin and are also field adjustable, as it is easy to install with turns and across grade elevation changes using a standard bollard.
All three Crash Bollards are also designed for bi-directional stopping capability, meaning the Bollards can be impacted from any side or angle and meet its impact standards.
Safety Bollards are installed to protect people, property, and buildings against vehicle damage. Take your protection to another level with any of Ideal Shield’s Traffic Impact and Crash Rated Bollards by contacting our experienced sales team today!
